the one when i celebrate friendship
It's an evergreen topic.
Friends; companions; people in life whom we can do without and whom we can't do without as well. It's more than letting me copy the homework in school, or sharing the same lunch table with me, or partying out together at Tampines Mall after class. It's the common unspoken knowledge that I'm here for you and that you're here for me.
It's the conversation we had without speaking a single word. It's the brush of the hair off my face so that you could wipe my tear. It's the smile with the smile, and tears with the tears. It's the pat on the back, and shield from the elements of men. It's the hand that will never let go, the feet that will never sway from the line where I stand on.
Friends are people whom you know are your friends although you have not seen them or talked to them for months. They are the people whom you will pray for, think about and care for even though they are not within your sight.
Oh yes, I have been blessed. By the 2 precious souls who have stood by me all these while. The souls who have accepted me long before anyone knew me, and the souls who are truly my friends.
