the one about time
Time is of essence to us.
If you know me, you will know that I am a person of order. Not in a sense where I walk around with an organiser and plan my life to the second, but in the sense where I like to create to-do lists for myself at the start of the day and make sure that I complete them by the time I'm ready to say "Goodnight Lord". And if you know me well enough, you'll know that I hate to be idle. I love to have things to do, to have my hands full and to spend my time in the most meaningful way I can.
Yet, I enjoy rest, enjoy just slacking on the couch with a good book and a hot steaming cup of coffee, I enjoy serving God in church, enjoy just walking around and spending time with people who are the world to me.
I find it quite sad actually. When I was working at Runner's World, I walked into office when day is just starting. The sun is just coming out and yet you have to go into office to face the 4 dull walls of a room. When you step out upon knocking off, the sun is setting and day is turning into night. Makes you wonder how all that happened when you were somewhere else. Feels quite sad.
We don't have alot of time.
We can't have more time.
We don't need more time.
We don't have enough time.
Because we do not know when the clock will strike twelve for us.
As of now, I have time for you, so don't hesitate to call me out. If not, I'll just lose myself to my books.

the one about a mask
Admit it.
We all wear a mask, or masks for a matter of fact. We live in a world so unreal, we dare not to be who we really are to everyone we meet. We hide, we run because maybe we are afraid of who we are actually.
What about the times when you felt your worst and yet has to say "I'm fine" in the face of "How are you"? Or the times you knew you had to smile and laugh when all you wanted to do is to rip yourself apart? Or the times you had to act right because you forgot what it was like to actually be right?
You can't take it off. You don't want to take it off. The very idea of letting your bare and raw skin touch the the filth of this world puts you off. You can't let people see you at your weakest. You can't let them see you bare, raw and naked. You want to protect yourself from them, but how do you protect against yourself?
No, I won't want to take it off. Because I am afraid I'll realise how weak I actually am behind those covers.

the one about personal choices
You know, I like what Pastor (Uncle, Brother) Sam preached in Speedlight last Sunday. Tearing down walls within.
It makes sense doesn't it?
Anyway, on a chirpy note, I'm going for Baptism this time round. Yayness. I went through child baptism when I was only 3 or 4 months old, but I don't count that as baptism for me. Since baptism is supposed to be a personal choice, I wouldn't have known what was happening when the pastor sprinkled water on me then. Besides, it wasn't MY choice, it was my parents' decision. This time round, I'm making the decision to proclaim to the world my love and my allegiance to Christ, my Saviour and the Lover of my soul.
I feel so loved.
Well, if you guys will like to come support, it'll be on July 28 2pm at Tampines Sanctuary. Although I have not handed in my application form yet... *Chuckle*
Another bright chirpy note: Corrinne May's Concert in Singapore. Yayness again! I'll be going for it, that's if ally gets to confirm the sale of the tickets asap. Her tickets get snapped up quite fast.
"Take my life, and all that I have to give
Take my world, just inhabit all of it
Take my dreams, make me assuredly Yours"PS: For all those darlings who are rushing me for grad photos, pardon me. My photographer aka Mr. Jeremy Foo has yet to pass me those photos. So sorry for the delay. =P

the one about making a difference
Today I Will Make a Difference
by Max LucadoToday I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.
I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.
I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It’s OK to stumble… I will get up. It’s OK to fail… I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.
I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.
Today I will make a difference.
